About Christina Altemueller
I’m Christina Altemueller, a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a passion for supporting neurodivergent children, teens, and their families.
My path began with a B.A. in Sociology from UC Davis and an M.A. in Counseling Psychology from the University of San Francisco. Over the course of 10 years, I provided Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy, which gave me a strong foundation in understanding and supporting children on the autism spectrum and other neurodivergent experiences.
Since opening my private practice in 2014, I have dedicated my work to helping children and families discover their strengths, build resilience, and foster meaningful connections. I believe every child and family has the ability to grow, adapt, and thrive with the right support.
In my practice, I strive to create a space that feels safe, compassionate, and collaborative, where children and parents feel truly understood while developing practical coping strategies they can use in daily life. My deepest commitment is to walk alongside families with warmth, curiosity, and respect for their unique journey.
Christina creates a warm, non-judgmental space where every client feels seen, heard, and supported.
With a deep understanding of child development and family dynamics, Christina tailors her care to meet each family’s unique needs.
Combining play therapy, parent coaching, and proven methods, Christina helps create real, lasting change.
